Dancing With Age
We are use to seeing beautiful young dancers show cased on TV, but there are plenty of beautiful dancers that are aged past 30. No. 7 Lift & Luminate facial serum had the talented dancer Alessandra Ferri who is one of the greatest ballerinas of her age. she retired from American Ballet Theatre in 2007at the age 53. You can see the commercial with this link. The commercial starts with Ferri dancing next to a hologram of her younger self at 19, its a beautiful moment when we see that she is just as talented as when she was young. This symbolizes a beautiful moment about looking back at one’s youth, and realizing that now is even better. You are beautiful no matter what your age and you are still capable of amazing things. Instead of looking back and wanting to go back look back and appreciate how much you have grown. Read more about her here.

Dream of Dancing
Scarlett Wright is a little girl who was born with no toes. She was born with a rare condition called Adams-Oliver syndrome which is so rare that only 130 people in the world have it. Scarlett dreams of becoming a ballet dancer and her parents support her dream. She walks in specialized shoes to keep her balance but takes her ballet lessons barefoot. Her condition causes her pain which holds her back from dancing for long periods of time so her parents are raising money to buy her special dance shoes for training and for preforming. With her love for ballet she pushes threw the pain and works hard in her dance classes, "As a mother, it's difficult to watch. No-one wants their child to have a disability, but it makes it easier because she's so positive. If it wasn't for that, I don't know if I could cope" (dailymail.com). This story is so beautiful to me because not only does it show the hope and innocence that children have but it also shows how happy dance can make people. It breaks my heart to hear dancing hurts her because she is so young and has a far road ahead to become a ballerina but I can tell she has the perseverance and strive to become a beautiful dancer.
Axis Dance
Axis Dance Company mission is to build the bridge between contemporary dance, integrated dance and disability culture. Their program began in 1989 and they have broken so many barriers offering opportunities and events for all ages and abilities for aspiring dancers with disabilities. People strive to find happiness in life and do the things that feed our soul. The same goes for people with disabilities, its hard to find our place were we fit in so it is amazing that there is a fantastic flourishing program that caters to those with disabilities who want to dance. Dance is also therapeutic and relives anxiety, depression and positive affects our health. We need more community programs like this especially for low income families.
